How do people remove names from their name history?

I saw that some accounts were able to remove their name history or shorten it even though they were normal gaming names.

How do they do that?

From my time as being staff if you want a username removed from your history you need to have a valid reason to have it removed. For example, if the username contained personal information then you would be able to get it removed. Hope this helps you.

From what I have heard you would need to create a ticket and speak to staff, you would need a valid reason though like a personal name etc

Hmmm. I wonder how the guy "Cat" managed to remove his name history then. There was also an account I used to own and he removed the name "HettikZAUR"

I'm assuming you're talking about forums accounts? Multi-accounting is against MCM rules fam. If you are talking about MC accounts, then you must contact Mojang with a valid reason. I say this because users above seem to believe you were mentioning forums accounts (hence user saying when he was staff).

Secondly, could also just have been friends with staff. They'll look the other way and do something for a pal... or at least few old staff would. Please don't merk me :c
