How do you convert a 1.8 world to a 1.12 world?

Anyone know how to convert 1.8 maps to 1.12?

You could use world edit to //replace (blank) to (blank)

My server crashes when I try to load a 1.8 map to a 1.12 server. Trying to prevent that issue.

Try opening it in single player first.
