Makes my blood boil, for goodness sake just let me know you no longer can help/are interested!!!!! I won’t kidnap you or anything

Yea ofc it’s kind of funny too ngljust ignore and move on ig, no point in wasting time and worrying/getting mad about it, spend more time grinding and building your assets up
I tend to force people to pay half or full upfront or do it in milestone payments. It's not worth risking your time otherwise.jdmallow and I had a back and forth for weeks, speaking about pricing. He made out like he could afford it easily, and that he makes way more than that. We agreed on $30k, then $20k and then I even went as low as $15k. He got me to make the invoices several times.
After I did work for him, he just pulled out the "I'm not sure I want to do this..." card. Then he said he wants to do per-project deals, and we agree on $400. After that, I did more work. (video editing, research, getting him beta access into some really exclusive things) Finally, I had enough of the bullshit so I asked to be paid.
Long story short he played the victim card, and after doing tons of work & negotiating he said he wasn't paying for it and made up the most ballcrap excuses to get out of it. I even invoiced $400 (he owed me way more) and didn't even pay that.
Well over 500 messages, and hours of discord calls for nothing. This was my most annoying encounter with someone like this.
That sounds horrible I’m sorry to hear that happened to you! That’s why I always make the client pay at least 50% upfront haha. It’s a pity all your hard work went to waste.jdmallow and I had a back and forth for weeks, speaking about pricing. He made out like he could afford it easily, and that he makes way more than that. It was my fault for not looking into their reputation. It's only the 3rd time I was scammed in 6 years. It's very rare for content creators to scam because I'm in contact with almost the whole community. Definitely more careful now though. That sounds horrible I’m sorry to hear that happened to you!
