Now before you start shit talking about all this stuff about IP forwarding, I have already gone on, and done my research. I looked up numerous videos, check their like/dislike ratio, comment section, then went on to do what they showed in the video.

The following things I have done is:
IP forwarded my router (I think)
Added firewall bypass
Changed server port and server ip to my ipchicken ip (before it was blank, and it still didn't work)

Somehow it still wouldn't work. I'm looking to make a small server to play with my friends on, home hosted. I have contacted numerous people, however they haven't yet succeeded yet.

Posted a thread on SpigotMC, still no solution yet.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Don't change the server IP in your server.properties file, I'm pretty sure that breaks it. Keep it as the original value that it was set.

not using that, onii-chan.
any particular reason why? it seems to work pretty good and i've used it before. would prob be fine for your uses in hosting a private server.

- Ensure you have correctly opened the port on your router
- On your machine in console type "ifconfig" or "ipconfig", depending on your OS and grab your internal ip
- Setup a firewall rule on the opened port to direct incoming traffic to your internal ip, then save changes
- In server.properties, set the IP to your internal IP and port to the opened port
- Give whoever you want your external ip (Can be found here: http://requestor.info)
- Start the server

Also don't be an ass, even if people aren't giving you the answers you require.

If you are using a Mac, use this. I used this 5 years ago for my first Mac-based MC server. https://www.codingmonkeys.de/portmap/
This makes port forwarding unnecessary or at least I think so back then. Unsure how it works or if it even does. Give it a try if you are using a mac, can't hurt :p

Grabbed my internal ip (IPv4 address)
Setup firewall bypass to both my router and my computer
Lots of people on SpigotMC & MCMarket say not to fuck with server.properties ip, plus I already did that before, and it still didn't work.
Gave my friend my external ip, wouldn't work.
Started the server, still didn't work.
(All the steps you mentioned, I have already did)

Will show screenshots later.

Nah, just using a Windows PC.

Feels 2 complicated, and I'm just looking to setup a simple server by IP forwarding, not trying to download any programs, or use 3rd parties.

Have you actually set the IP in server.properties to your internal IP?

ngrok is very simple, you just tell it what port to forward through their proxy and it gives you an IP. look into it- it's more secure and frankly easier than port forwarding.

Did that as well, didn't work.

ty so much, it worked, finally found a answer after a week of searching. I have a few questions tho.

This works exactly the same as if you would to setup a friend server normally on your computer, right?
Can I revert all the ip forwarding, and the firewall settings I made, will the ngrock server still work?
Would I be able to get a custom ip from the ngrock server, or is that only possible in the premium plan?

Where in U.S is the region actually hosted in?
ex. east coast, west coast, central

Check that the port is actually open via https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

(I'm pretty sure you need the server running for it to work).
