How does a bitcoin wallet work?

Ok, so I’m really new to bitcoin, unfortunately I don’t have paypal because I’m 15 and my parents don’t want me to do anything with it... So, I’m trying to use this bitcoin wallet called “Exodus” wallet. I have no idea how it works, and I need someone to explain how this stuff works... can I still pay people who have other wallets, can I do currency conversions? I need loads of help with this...

You can pay anybody with a different wallet, as long as they provide you with their address. I'm a beginner as well, so I'm not well informed on the topic.

You may be interested in Binance if you need CRYPTOcurrency conversion without verification, and Coinbase or Blockchain.com to convert crypto to FIAT (verification required, must be +18 )

1. bitcoin addresses are global - you can pay anyone as long as they send you the address
2. to buy bitcoin or to sell to official companies, you need an ID.
3. Do not share your private key / seed words

yeah, but the api they use is pretty well known for sometimes holding ur funds for no reason
although, any exchange would do the same
