Bitcoin is an unstable cryptocurrency. An entire bitcoin can range from $50-$10,000 depending on the day. A lot of people, specifically hackers, use Bitcoin because it is extremely hard to trace.

A user can purchase/use part of a bitcoin, or a whole bitcoin. Most people purchase/transfer parts of bitcoin, which are essentially a fraction of the whole bitcoin.

So, if the current price for a bitcoin was $5000, I could purchase a part of a bitcoin for $500, which would be 0.10 bitcoin.

You can check out the current price here: http://livebtcprice.com/

I would hold off on using bitcoin until you understand it more like the guy above explained. Wouldn't want to rush into any deals and get scammed.

Can you show me where the prices fluctuated from $50 to $10,000 in a single day?

I never said it did. I'm just saying that the price changes a lot, and it could be $50 to $10000 depending on the market and whatnot.
