Looking at the hosting selection here on mc market a lot of the hosting company's sell for 1$ +-
How do they even make profit from this anymore? Is the mc servers just "Clickbait" to get the buyers to buy other products? Do they buy trash servers and oversell? Looking at soyoustart and ovh there is no way to sell for 1$ and make profit?

If you own hardware it's also possible to do it cheaper. You could host a server with 128gb ram for like $60-80/month of colocation. A lot of these hosts sell for 105% of their costs and will shutdown soon. I met a guy who thought he could sell hosting for the same price as the dedi.

Trash servers and oversell.

Please don't say something false. Most of company aren't mading money on the budget plan, they sell for a low price to attract people to sell their premium products. They (most of the time) arent overselling and buying trash servers and remember that you are getting what you pay for.[DOUBLEPOST=1526171961][/DOUBLEPOST]The budget plan is a test for the customers. If they get something good for 1$, they will try the premium and others product that cost more so, because its what will make customers decide what think about the company, they won't oversell and use trash servers

There are companies, that are legit companies. FalloutHosting owned by DotTechLLC, FastSrv owned by an LLC. They do other ventures in hosting that are profitable, use old, extra specs to make some free $, and if at all write losses off on taxes.

Others, beats the hell out of me!

35$ per U for FallOut. If you have a 48gb x5560, and offer 1$ + tax. You can profit monthly if there are no issues. However I can assure you Ian prob runs e3's at 64gb or duels CPU's at 128gb to maximize profit. Its not hard to run low price, decent spec dedis when MC hosting is a small fraction of your annual income.

Being owned by an LLC doesn't necessarily make a company more reliable or honest

I understand, I am talking about 2 hosts that are quality hosts that are run by good, knowledgeable people, without being a reseller.

I get special things that most don't being a close friend of Ian. So I base my hosting knowledge on personal experience.[DOUBLEPOST=1526173708][/DOUBLEPOST]
Also ive rented a dedi from both Ian & Noah ( SSDBlaze ) for over a year ( had 2 hosts, gotta support my friends ). Neither had hardware issues. Only got DDosed xD So a yr without an issue is deff able to make a profit.

You misunderstood my message. Let me make it simple. PEOPLE OFF LOWER PRICES CAUSE THEY OVERSELL OR USE OLDER SHITTER SPECS. ORRR THEY HAVE EXCESS PROFITS THAT CAN OVERCOME A LOSS ( tax write off ), usually expecting a server to get larger then offer higher $ by offering a dedi to the server.

Not yelling just making my message much easier.
