Well, if you're curious, this is what I do.
This is the process that I go through for designing most logos!
1. Build
Using illustrator I decide on flow for the logo design. This also includes color sometimes, but that often changes. For this one, I decided to use three circles. I used heavy inspiration from my previous designs. Simple enough, right?
2. Concept
Well here's the important part. Turn the sketch/build into an actual shape. This usually consists of using the pen tool, shapes, outline mode and... a lot of sweat and tears. My first concept is always perfect.*
3. Design
This is the big papa of the whole process. It's also the most satisfying of them all. I usually like asking the customer for lots of feedback during this period, as it's very important to make sure everything checks out. And once it does, I throw together a quick display for the customer to show it off. Finalizing, I usually create around 12 copies of the logo using different color combinations, file formats, and all of the bells and whistles. Then I have a happy customer. It's a good feeling.
* Ok. Disclaimer, I skipped adding about 750 edits of changing colors, build designs, and lots of broken shapes. Yeah. I made about 8 logos before deciding on this one. Oh, I also always start with blue for some reason. Still don't know why I love blue so much.
