I may be wrong here, but from what I've seen BTC is on the rise here on MCM, many users are getting fed up with their PayPal accounts limited, or having to worry about chargebacks. I'm seeing far more posts buying BTC now than from 6-8 months ago. However, the general MC community (Just the average person that plays Minecraft and doesn't go on MCM) rarely uses BTC from what I've seen. Easily 80% of people are children and teens, who don't even have a BTC account, most don't even have PayPal because they're just kids. If you're planning to start something up, I think you would be appealing far more to the MCM community than to MC as a whole. That's just my opinion though, I typically just come on here 4-5 times checking new posts and trying to help where I can, and I don't really ask things in server chats about business.
Also, I'd recommend putting a poll in about BTC here on MCM; you'll probably get far more votes that way than just commenting.

100% agree with your reply. Well said ;)

TL;DR: BTC is simply to risky in my opinion.

Two Sense:
For the part of the Minecraft, and online overall community that does use it, I know that most use currency converters. Meaning they have their site accept BTC, but then they auto convert it to cold hard cash (USD, EURO, etc...), through a converter (something I highly suggest you do, as long story short, I have studied BTC for about a year, and while I still know honestly quite little, one thing I can guarantee, is it is VERY risky, and therefore safer and better to simply convert it to cash while you can). Other servers and communities do occasionally accept it, however it is rare for the simple reason they do not understand it.
Truthfully, I love BTC as much as the next guy, but if I was a business manager for a major Minecraft server, I would not accept BTC at all for the simple fact it is much to risky, and that it is very confusing and hard to learn about.

btc isn't on the rise on MCM.

BTC is less risky then PayPal bud.

Bitcoin will never dominate this type of community because most people require ID and the online scammers on this website don't want to provide ID or pay with something they can't chargeback with.
What do you mean by most people require ID?

if you want to buy btc from a legit website, you need to provide id[DOUBLEPOST=1483911684][/DOUBLEPOST]Poker1st you said you studied btc for a year eh? Well you should know I was one of the first btc vendors on this site
Good for you?
I have been looking at and learning about BTC for a year in general mate. I do not know every vendor in existence. Were you expecting me to? If so I am sorry.

What most of the people here are trying to say is; BTC holds no value.

not true.

I don't know about minecraft, but in CSGO it's the favoured currency. You'll get cheaper deals for btc, more availability, less fees, etc etc.

And it's on the rise, as well.

For a 15% fee. Some people even charge 20% now.

Your losing out mate
In other forums the charge like 1:0.9 so $10 btc for $11.

I have about $9 leftover in my wallet.
I don't keep active funds in BTC since the BTC market is so volatile, only buy it when I need to buy something with BTC.

I have about $2000 in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I mostly use mine for assets and loans to people.

It's quite a simple answer... A lot of MineCraft players, especially those who pay, are of young age. You don't see 12 year olds use or even know of BTC. It's not hard to integrate Coinbase for a payment gateway, but don't expect it to be popular for donations if that is what you are curious about.
