PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

hi
i want to know how many players can i support with this CPU
Intel® Core™ i7-4770
in a Dedicated root server
I'd really think dedicated servers would use Intel Xeon...but the core is not everything about a server. How about ram, dual core/triple/quad/etc.

i7-4770 is a nice processor.
Now it depends on what kind of servers would you run on it. Lets say that you run a Minigames Network on it, then it should be able to handle around 150-200 players (if 32GB ram in total)

He stated the name and model of CPU, a simple google search would tell you its a quad core, (8 with hyperthreading), its an i7 the model is way to high to be a dual core, and unless its an Amd X3 CPU then its not going to be a tricore. So its pritty obvious its an quad core, since its not new enough to 6 / 8.

Its also quite common for hosts to offer i7's in game servers. Xeons are great, but built for reliability and multitasking, whereas the i7 focuses on gaming and other similar tasks. Usually there isnt a great deal in it, but the i7 does have the edge.
