Nope27 because im right
p sure i did tbhDid you include the outermost square?
40 including the outermost border.41 if you believe that the picture itself is a square.
Mhm.Its 40
40 including the outermost border.
Mhm.
Now the goal is to try to show why it's 40!
That doesn't express any relation to the question as far as I know (unless you want to explain further) - essentially that's a bunch of random expressions that add to 40...(4x4) + (3x3) + (2x2) + (1x1) + (2x4) + 2 = 40

Alright. So what would a general case mathematical expression to solve the square look like...?(4x4) + (3x3) + (2x2) + (1x1) + (2x4) + 2 = 40
First off, remove the 2 random squares in the middle of it all.
(4x4) -> The 16 small squares
(3x3) -> 3x3 squares can fit 4 times inside of that big square
(2x2) -> 2x2 squares can fit 9 times inside of that big square
(1x1) -> The big one, the whole of it all
(2x4) -> The 2 random squares we removed which are 2x2 have 4 squares in them (smallest squares)
2 -> The 2 squares that compose the 4 smallest ones.
= 40
I have a good one for you. Try resolving the following one:
I call it the house:
Draw 1 line starting from anywhere you want, your goal is to go through all "Blue doors". You are not allowed to go through the red lined walls (And even if the lines aren't touching each other, don't try and cut through corners) Good luck

So a general case mathematical expression to solve the square would look like...?
Also no thanks, make another thread for that![]()
Because hijacking a thread is completely ethical. Fyi this isn't a riddle, it's a maths problem...lol.Giving riddles, yet incapable of doing them. Gotcha.
