There is 1 square with size 4x4
There are 3 squares with size 3x3
There are 9 squares with size 2x2
There are 16 squares with size 1x1

Smaller squares in the top and bottom middle:
There are 2 bigger squares
There are 8 smaller squares

The total amount of squares is 39?
