How much did you spend on advertising?

And how big of a player base did you yield? Wondering how much to spend on advertising.

I have yet to decide for my upcoming server but I would probably spend around $70+ if you want a decent player base, you could pay a few youtubers on here with that and they would bring maybe around 20 players that would come back everyday.

Thanks for the info, do you reckon 20 players would return that $70 though?

Definately, perhaps you should make a sale on your donation site for 50% off and those players would also invite friends - but most importantly you NEVER ask or beg players to donate, it is their choice and if they enjoy the server they will most likely donate or at least try to.

With the inviting friends thing, maybe a referral system would help? As in for every 5 players someone refers they get 20% off of a donation or something.
