How much does a server cost to setup, and with ad's.

I am interested in finding out, lets just say for a OP Prison / HCF Server.

We will have to consider

Hosting, graphics etc.

I am interested in finding out as I would like to create one in the future.

For HCF you could work with $500.

OP Prison you might need a bit more as the gamemode isn't as popular but that should do it.

$500 might get you the server setup, sure, but without advertisements your server will flop. That’s why you need a lot of money. There isn’t a single type of server that can be set up for cheap.

You can get a nice core and setup for HCF with $300 and then the $200, if you spend it right, could get you your money back and more.

I'd recommend $500+ in advertisements for long-term players.

I've ran a OP Prison server with a good budget of around $600. Don't believe what these 'advertising managers' say, as mostly they say what you want to hear. Literally spent like $500 on SuchSpeed and he got us no players and even when he was streaming, no one joined.

For you to have a sure ball successful server that is unique and will at least double your investments, you'd have to invest around $1000+, just spending money on the right investment will definitely guarantee you a huge payback. YouTubers are really over-saturated and overcharges at most times. However, SuchSpeed's community doesn't really play OP Prison if I can recall correctly. You could've used other YouTubers who have a subscriber-base that is much more open to different game modes.
