Hello,
This question has been asked many times and I always used to never answer since it's a pretty personal question that not many people need to know.
I thought about it for a while and finally decided that allowing people to know this knowledge will help make them decide if Minecraft plugins sold publicly is for them or not.

I made a video where I mention the amount of money I make per year from my public Minecraft plugins and how much I make per month. It's an interesting topic and I encourage others to do something similar.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Imagine how much you'd make if you created an EliteCosmicTest Setup. Not a bad idea you know. o_O

I'm in the works with some big YouTubers and don't want to ruin my chances by creating a complete rip off
Thats fair enough. Keep up the good work and congrats on the success you've had.

Well was just wondering what was so funny about the video?
Want to move to pms? I think the quality of your video was poor. I think you need to speak up and speak more clearly. It seemed like a rushed video. You try to make it seem like you are trying to help others get into development, but you don't really give any helpful information that's not public knowledge and just talk about how you made X. I also disagreed with you when you call development passive income. A lot of initial work goes into making a plugin, then you have to make updates, offer maintenance, and provide support. Whats the average number of updates that you push per plugin you release?

The video is 1/3 videos that are upcoming, the next one is talking about how to get into selling plugins and the last one if 50 likes are reached is a video talking about how much I make from Development as a whole. It was not a rushed video but I don't do so well under pre-planned scripts and while recording videos.

My plugins are passive income since I used to spend every waking minute working on my public plugins but as I've gotten used to it I spend around 1-5 hours per week coding for my plugins and a couple of mins a day giving out support since we have a support discord so other people manage that stuff.
I used to update 3 times a week but after my first plugin that dipped to 1-2 times a week to now once a week and people are happy. Therefore it's considered passive income, I did not say that development is passive income but my plugins to me are passive income due to the fact I don't have to put much work into them at this current point in time unless I plan on recoding any plugins or when I initially make the plugins.

A lot of initial work goes into making a plugin
That's like saying when I buy a house and have to get maintenance done, that means that house is no longer passive since I had to put some work into preparing it.

Like I said I can remove the rating, I am sorry I found it funny. I'm not sure why you took such offense to my opinion, but I think there are better ways to go about it than posting in a discord im not in talking about me.

As you stated, you use [Censored]'s marketing at first to gain "reputation". However, most of the people that want to start selling their plugins publicly will not have that advantage and will probably not have the same stats (or even near) to yours.
Besides that, nice video - maybe someone will find it interesting... idk, I have never been interested in how much other people earn 0.0

Definitely a topic that not many people are willing to talk about publicly. Thank you for sharing the story and I really think this will somehow encourage other people to start their journey in the development world as it is not beneficial financially. It also does a lot of good to your brain with thinking. I might even start streaming about me creating server setups as I've seen many developers streaming their programming projects.

Once again, thank you. You're opening lots of eyes through this. I gave you a like. :p
I appreciate your comment, Looking back on the video I didn't really give much information but that was because I had plans for other videos but should have mentioned that in the video.

People don't understand how much a minecraft server can make. HCF servers make loads because of discounts.

If you're going to be so vain about how much money you earn you need to expect people to not agree and be happy with what you're presenting. I don't really think many people asked what you make (twas' much lower than what I expected anyways) so just stop arguing against people disagreeing with you.
You clearly didn't understand what the video was, The video was not me being vain and talking about how much money I make so I can rub it into other peoples face, it's clearly just so people can know how much a "popular" Minecraft plugin makes so they know the horizons.
I watched a video on how much a game developer made from his first game release and it helped me get a better understanding what the range is for indie games
