I have $300 to spend on advertising a server (soon), where do I spend it and how much of an expected player base can it get me. I know no one can give me an exact amount, so just say ~20 people average for example or whatever.

Just pretend I'm doing a generic server such as sky block.

It really depends. I've seen people spend $1500 on advertising poorly and barely break 20 players. On the flip side I've also seen a growth of players in the triple digits on just $700 worth of advertising.

There are a lot of ways to market your server, each with varying returns.

Care to hint some of the ways to market my server? I heard renting slots is a waste, and I also heard that you tubers were a big boost! But the problem is that one day a you tubers followers will be on my server, the next they'll be on another. Also would you suggest investing the full $300 into one semi-large youtuber for a mini-series of 3 videos or so (100k subs), or spread it out between smaller you tubers for one video each?

I'd have to agree with you on .org. Server lists are, as a whole, usually a waste of money.

Youtubers are also hard, as it really varies from one to another. In my experience, multiple smaller youtubers will benefit you larger than one larger.

Do keep in mind that each youtuber is different and doing your research will save you money and headaches later on.

I have never done youtube business before so I don't know how to go about doing it, also I have emailed multiple ones and still have not gotten a reply in weeks! is there an easier way of contact? Also how many subs do you think $50 is worth for 1 video

PM me and I'll get you setup with some Youtubers.

And completely let the notion of $/subs go. Subs mean nothing. Views, likes and comments are what you want to look at.

Not all 100k sub youtubers are equal.

The typical rate is $10 per 1000 views, i am also interested in responses to this thread.
