I hope this is the right forum to post this in. :)

I run a small setup account, and I want to begin charging for them. How much reputation should I gather before asking for payment?

I don't want to seem like a scammer by asking too early, and I want to be able to get clients that trust me.

give out 2-3 free configurations to 10+ rep people, and then start charging. You don't deserve to be giving stuff away for free for too long.

Honestly, I would say you can start charging money as soon as you have at least 2 portfolio pieces, but not everyone may be willing to deal with you rightaway. Reputation means more successful deals, meaning you can be thought to be slightly more reliable (quality of reputation is at least as important).

I have never given out vouch copies, as far as I can remember. It helped that I had someone to kickstart me here, but back then vouch copies weren't even really a thing yet, you just had to find a way to stop people shitting on your thread as much. Which is no longer nearly as much of a problem now.
