How should I upgrade my PC?

Hello.

I'm looking to upgrade my computer to play larger minecraft modpacks. My computer can currently run about 30-40 mods depending on the mc version. I have been told many things on how I could upgrade my computer and play more resource taking modpacks/mods but I dont know which to believe.

My computer specs are as follows:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6100U CPU @ 2.30GHz
Memory: 4GB
Operating System: Windows 10 64-Bit

Any help would be appreciated

Would you like to spend a lot for good quality, or little for fine quality?

I think you should get a better cpu to a i5 and a little bit more ram (depends on what your pc can hold e.g slots,motherboard)

16GB support, has 2 slots. And another CPU is a little over budget. But thanks so much - I know what I need to get/upgrade.
