I saw some people with 300 deals done and literally 200 rep. There's no way they don't ask right? I've done dozens of deals on mcm, been quick, done extra work for free and always delivered. 0 Rep. Wtf? How do you get a lot of rep on mcm

The people you are referring to likely joined in 2014-2016 and that is plenty of time to gain reputation if you are actively dealing through MC-Market.

They may have asked for feedback after a deal was done, though. :p
yeah but that's not allowed no? I hate it cuz I can't get rep for shit

are we allowed to say, "if you feel the need, feel free to drop us feedback"?

You are allowed to ask for feedback after a deal.
You can ask for reputation after you do a deal with someone.

However, you are not allowed to ask for reputation as a condition to do something.
oh lmao wtf was I thinking, I could've had 10 reputation by now if I knew smh

After a deal, rep someone and say something like "a rep is kindly appreciated, but not required". People are usually nice enough to rep you. However, in this community, a lot of people don't really cares about reputation anymore as it's not a very accurate means to determine whether someone is reputable or not.

The rep system wasn't added until 2016, but then it was removed/wiped because of abuse, then re-added the same year.

Personally I stopped caring about the mcm rep system when opinions were mixed in with monetary deals and when old rep / banned user rep got removed, just because Justis wanted it that way. How much mcm rep system rep I have doesn't matter to anyone honestly, it's never affected any of my deals because I'm widely known, but I do look to see if newer members who want to buy something from me have completed deals on here before selling to them.

I don't rep anymore because I don't have the patience to type out a message and gather proof of deals. Exceptions for users who provide an outstanding service.

Yeah exactly, but I hate it when I do extra work and not even get a thank you lol. Like be nice enough to drop a quick message, nothing complicated if you actually enjoy the service. But I always beat my dead lines and provide exceptional work. But people look at my rep and think twice smh

We on da grind for 400 rep bro.
not with all the people getting banned these days lol
the rep system is flawed unlike other sites because you have to
1. write a long detailed paragraph about the deal
2. take an image, download it, name it and upload it onto the reputation (the main reason most of my deals aren't repped)
usually unless you specifically ask them to rep you and have the courtesy to do it first they wont care, especially if the deal is <30$ because its too little to care.
id rather just let mcm paste gyazo links instead, would encourage me to rep lots more people.
at this point to me reputation, messages and join date all play an equal role in determining the reputation of an individual.
ive been stuck at 20 rep for years now despite having nearly 40+, ive given up at this point where at one point in 2018 i was trying to do deals purposefully at one point inorder to gain reputation, i have realised im happy with being a 20 rep lol

I believe patience is the key to everything. One day you will make so much impressive deals that people will automatically rep you for your hard efforts. I look forward to that day for myself when I open my service thread here. To be honest I find the community here very warm and helpful. I made acquaintances with many outstanding individual here who are really talented.

Keep up the Hard Work !! You will get there One Day !! I believe in you.

I really hope that soon people notice how useless rep is. If you provide proof, vouches or use a middle man, rep is the most USELESS thing ever. You don't need a number on your profile to show off how good you are.
