How the MCM community treats new members

I've noticed that tons of community members, are sales trashing newbies for no good reason, all because they don't want to give a vouch copy, or because they don't want to post something. I've had this happen to me and I've witnessed it happening to others.

I reported it but the posts haven't been deleted. I PM'd 2 mods and they told me to wait for the report.


This is a problem that should be stopped.

If people voice legit concerns (lack of proof/lack of previous work/bad pricing/unprofessinal) then it is for a reason. Learn from it, note it down, and dont make the mistake the next time.
Even rep members get bashed at when they make mistakes, or looks sketchy, so it is nothing new. New members just doesnt know it is how this works.

People do keep starting threads, without taking the time to look at other peoples, to see what they need to have. If you arent ready to start selling, and dont have examples of what you have done in the past, then dont sell until you do. Unless you are happy to give quite a few vouch copies to people. As for the second one, that thread has next to no detail that is needed to sell a server. I have no problem with new users, i was one myself at one point. However when they dont take the time to look at other threads and see what they need to add into their post, there is a problem. It says the guys server IP, price and skype, and he seems to think thats enough info to sell it.

It's one thing to say it once, but then they start to argue and clog up the thread. And a lot of the time they aren't trying to help the OP, they're just trying to trash.

Yours was "trashed" because you are offering a thread design service; yet you didn't even have a thread design yourself! Also $5 was a bit overpriced for a member with little rep and next to no vouches.

The other one was trashed because we got nothing but text. No proof of income, proof of playerbase, proof of ownership, proof of domain ownership.

What do you expect? People are not going to bother working with someone who has put no effort into their thread.

As long as you keep all of your posts formal and implement as much information as you can into your threads/replies this shouldn't be a issue. There are some people that don't trust new members and thats their choice, I wouldn't trust a brand new member if I was making a deal that could involve hundreds of Dollars.

Make sure you don't try any small talk or scamming as this will hurt your reputation. If a user is telling you things to improve on your thread take information from it and improve your thread, arguing with these users just makes you seem immature and makes people not trust you even more.

You won't get trashed if you fucking post photos of what your trying to sell. I will NEVER add someone if they say yo add me on skype reason? Chances are they are hiding something.. I would want the community to see what I am selling. Second most of this "Trash" is us saying its overpriced unless they add some pictures and proof and everything else.

I just don't know why it's like that here, I did the same on HF and everyone left me alone.

Because I care to see what i'm buying.. Don't like it? Leave. Simple. I'm not telling you to leave, Im just saying they please don't complain like every other new member. Simply if your gonna sell something atleast post pictures.

Don't say anything stupid or look shady, you will be attacked.

both of those threads you have given had no proof of the ownership of the server, or the fact that you could do thread designs, and if you're a new member, how can I trust you? The thing you must understand is that there are a lot of people on this site and a large amount of scammers so people are naturally on their toes.

Don't want to get trashed? post a portfolio.

Okay, but I stated they didn't have to pay until they were satisfied, it's not like I required an upfront payment.

Personally when I first started selling accounts on MCM back in May of 2015 I never ran into this problem. As a new member back then you NEEDED to provide proof or people would instantly assume you were scamming no matter the excuse. Most people here just jump to conclusions.

When you are new, and people do not know of your work, etc. You need to provide a portfolio, screenshots etc.

If I were to ever run anything GFX related on here I would never give out "vouch copies", new or not fuck that. There are too many people that think they are reputable and really aren't.

New members with like 3+ rep are asking for VC's.... what has this community come to. I mean it is sooo full of little kids that lie about their age to get in. I don't even consider myself reputable enough for vouch copies unless the thread says so. Even then it is only for a small thing to see their quality of service, you should support the people instead of being a vc whore and trying to get free stuff. Am I right. (Not saying you are! I am saying I AGREE! Sorry if that came out wrong. )

I know there are a lot of people like me out there who are sick of new members bringing in poor quality designs, people like me take the liberty of pointing things out and saying they can't do this.
