How to add brackets to the faction in the displaychat (essentials chat) with brackets

So, for those who dont get what i mean, when you first install factions uuid, the default chat is green for example **Chaotic, i want to change it too &f[**Chaotic&f] to make it blend with my chat, how would i do this?

Not sure what the difference is between FactionsUUID and MassiveCraft Factions, but in Massivecraft I would have to go into the messages and I would be able to put it in manually there. If that still doesn't work for you try to look into FactionUUID as maybe there is a certain element they're using instead of the brackets because it might mess with the syntax.

Massivecraft is a pile of shit i downloaded it and it is crap, /f home is bugged, no factions chat. I hate it.[DOUBLEPOST=1501438055][/DOUBLEPOST]

In Essentials config.yml under group-formats:

format: '&8([FACTION]&8) &7{DISPLAYNAME} &8» &7{MESSAGE}'

[FACTION] gets replaced with the faction name and the relation color.

In the Factions conf.json look at line 27:

"ChatTagReplaceString": "[FACTION]",

Put whatever it says there in your Essentials config.yml under group formats.

And enable the chat tag on line 25 of conf.json:
"chatTagEnabled": true,

Make sure the chat formatting plugin you're using has the capability to link into Factions. That could possibly be the problem but I really don't know what else it could be.

This is how my old server chat was setup:
format: '[{factions_relcolor}§l{factions_roleprefix}§r{factions_relcolor}{factions_name|rp}]&7{DISPLAYNAME} &5> &7{MESSAGE}'

or something like that

You don't want to use EssentialsChat. You want to purchase or find a download of DeluxeChat then find formats and do something like this.

Default:

suffix: '&8: '

I'm sticking with essentials chat as the last person who advised me in changing to deluxe chat broke my server and I had to go back too an old version[DOUBLEPOST=1501862155][/DOUBLEPOST]

Do that for each group under group-formats and ignore the plain format section. The only other thing I changed was multiverse, setting the prefix to false (which I'm sure you figured out already). I haven't changed any faction configuration, and I'm using Factions UUID.
