I've had my investment thread for Amicus Network up for a few days. We have the Hub server bought and 90% complete, but we need $750 and only have a tad over $750. I've provided screenshots of kits, GUIs, and the lobby. What else do I need to do to attract investors?

Somebody said they'd invest $50, but then backed up. It seems that every possible investors backs out because they're "no longer interested" or "don't invest in servers". What do I need to do? I want this project to work out, but I'm not getting any investments. Anybody got some feedback or advice?

Here's our thread for reference: http://www.mc-market.org/threads/68209/

Investors don't come overnight, your server seems good. Just be patient.

Hello,

It took nearly 8 months for my team and I to get enough investments to complete the Minewrath Project, you must be patient and you must have an idea that has yet to be thought of, providing large amounts of information regarding the gamemode or project will attract more investors because it will appear you know more about your idea and you have a large plan, providing large boxes of information and images that are in relation to your project will attract more investors and more people wanting to see the project in action.

Investors are attracted to not only the idea but the ROI percentage, if you want to attract investors do not give high end ROI percentages you cannot afford to pay back, be smart and think of percentages you can pay back I suggest not going over 175% - 200%, when it comes to the investment section of your thread make sure it is well detailed and it describes all the benefits of an investors and what the investor will receive at the completion of your project and explain what currency you accept, what payment methods, and make sure they feel apart of the project.

To make an investor feel apart of your project I suggest creating a Skype group named "{Your_Server} Investment Chat", you can keep all your investors updated and you can use them to test features and bug fix issues on your server, they love to test our the gamemode they payed for, make them feel welcomed and apart of your new community and grow with them to the top.

Investors invested because they have faith in not only you but in the project, they have faith that you are a trustworthy and loyal person to the community and that they can be assured you will return the money they invested. When someone invests it does not always mean they get their money back that is why it is called and investment some "investors" may want to issue you a loan with an interest rate and that is fine but if someone does want to invest assure them they will receive the minimum investment amount back atleast. No one can assure they will their project popular and be able to pay back thousands of dollars that is why you do not want high investment percentages and I would state that if in the case the project fails each investor will be issued a refund of the minimum investment amount that was initially invested.

I myself am not an investor but I have got 2 projects that have been invested into and are about to release, if you would like some thread tips for organization you may look through my thread but not copy it, a link is in my signature if you are interested.

I hope this has helped,
- Dalton
Thank you for your very detailed help. I'll take that advice. This helped a lot.

You can get more money by yourself before you find an investor that is interested.
My Admin, Spifo, is investing $250 tomorrow. And I sell licenses and graphics to make money myself, which all goes to the server.
