How to avoid getting scammed 101 edition.

PETITION TO MAKE THIS A STICKY OR COPY PASTED BY MODS TO PREVENT SCAMMING.

1. Confirm on mc-market with the user to ensure you are trading with the right person.
2. Use this to ensure you are not being misled by an impersonator https://characterchecker.com/
3. If you think the mc-market user has been hacked then simply wait it out a bit, or check the discord they message you from. It's a good idea to take precaution. If they hack their mcm, it does not mean their discord is hacked as well or telegram in case you have it.
4. Stop being so blind, stop trusting new members with 0 reputation without using a middleman, that's just plain stupid. What's more worth, paying a 5-10% fee, or losing your money?
5. MCM IS NOT SAFE, I do not care how many times I have to repeat it. Violet , and many other middlemen exist which will be more than willing to help you out for a small fee in exchange.

If you get scammed that's on you. Many of us have warned you, have made numerous posts. Keep this post updated for new members and old to see. We need to stop this madness.

How do I know this? I've made over 7000$ worth of trades in this site. Around 600$-1000$ resulted in unfair chargebacks which I could not win and the users were simply banned prior to me making a report. I've learned from my mistakes. Some of the scammers being Urlin which I thought was my friend for years, and always tipped him twice the amount he asked for in order to help his brother, which all turned out to be a lie. MCM is not a friendly playground, it's not a safe environment. I've seen over 10 scams take place in the span of two days in regards to impersonation.

Never pay through friends and family.

That's false. In many cases those work out better than g&s.

If you do not wish to pay with f&f that means you are not using a middleman. It means you are doing a direct trade which I've mentioned not to do at any cost.

There have been many famous members, with 100's of rep, ranging from 20-80 scamming people off their hard work earned money. One of them being BucketOfSloths a prime example of these cases.

That does not mean we should not spread awareness of this issue. I am tired and hurt by this personally as I hate people getting scammed. I've helped numerous people by giving them their money back, but at this point, I am not a piggy bank nor will I bother anymore.

I'd hazard I've spent a good $600-$700 on discord nitro, and giving it out in discords like subskripe suite, and other discords and shit, and being nice is pretty epic. But you can't fix stupid, if no one bothers to at least take precautions you big dumb

You guys are honestly dumb. The whole purpose of goods and services is to be used when purchasing or selling a good or service....

99.9% of users on here fall into that category so it's not a problem at all if you are taking the right steps about selling your product/service.
