Hello,
I was hoping to grab tips from all of you wonderful people on how to get into server hosting. I've made servers for many years now, using dedicated servers and getting used to it but I want to expand my horizons.
I've founded on many server hosters that tickets and the '24/7 chat support' normally don't get answered for hours to even weeks.
I was looking at trying to get into technical support, and I'm able to tick of the box 16years of older, and a good internet connection with experience. But then it asks for a resume.
Simply put it, what would a resume of technical support consist of, especially if you don't have experience in this side of Minecraft.
Ultimately, I'd like to add if any server hosters need an Australia UTC+10, technical support agent. I would gladly take the position :).
Thanks

Most have an area to send in a resume.
I'm not sure about "Minecraft" hosts, but I know a few people who work for server companies that do cloud computing, and they all mentioned having to send cover letters, resumes, references, and the whole deal just as if they were applying to a job irl.

Oh and tax forms as well.

As a support agent, you have control over many aspects of a hosting company's operations.
Many vet their hires because obviously they don't want someone doing something malicious or someone untrained.
I'm not sure what you're looking for, but for an "actual" job doing technical support, you'd need some more qualifications.

I understand what you mean, but it's hard to get these "qualifications" without a company accepting those with inexperience. I am fast learning and would be willing to comply to following all orders and to learn that ins and outs but my resume would sadly be filled with nothing.
Any tips???

Try looking around for any smaller hosting companies on WHT or even on here and seeing whether they are looking.
Make yourself some sort of resume and send it to the owners - I would suggest?

I started hosting back in 2014 after some on another forum advertised that he was looking for a hosting partner, and even though I had 0 experience, I still messaged him. He was quick to give me the position, and I quickly learned WHCMS and Multicraft, all that sorta stuff.

You need to reach out to people. Applying for anything serious for your first position won't work out.

Try and try. As Boycot told, reach out to people. Have worked with him before and I know exactly what he did.

Most real companies are not interested, however, there's plenty hosts on here which operate without anything. I can PM you a few that might be interested.
