Hey guys, doing this tutorial because I've converted a few images to polygons for some people and they asked how I do it. Going to be publicly releasing the method here!
Requirements:
- Download the triangulator.zip file attached below.
- Double click the batch file to open the html file, or just double click the html file.
- Drop your bitmap into the image area and add as many vertices as you want until you're satisfied.
- When you click export to SVG, right click "this link" and click "Save link as"
- Use this link to convert the .svg file to PNG, and make sure to add the same dimensions in the "Change Size" option and select "best quality"
- Download the converted png image and open it with Photoshop.
- duplicate the layer 4-5 times until the lines around the vertices disappear completely.
- Export the finished png and enjoy your newly triangulated image.
Thanks for reading.
