Hey! I've been wanting to do this for a while now and I don't really know how to start it. I am looking for tutorials on how to setup a dedicated server to work with your minecraft server (let's say I purchase a dedi from kimsufi or soyoustart.com, how do I set my minecraft server up? how do I split gigs for each gamemode on my bungee network? how do I set up the ptero panel?). If any of you had the same questions and found a way to do that it would be cool if you could send a link to such tutorial or a youtube video.

Kind Regards, Asodey <3 :)

You should probably learn the basics of the command line before anything:

https://www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-the-command-line

After that I'd look into some basic security for your server. Look into Linux Server Hardening

Setting up the Minecraft server itself is quite simple, install Java on the system (this is distro dependant, for example centos uses a package manager called yum). Set up a quick screen and run the Java executable using the param "Xmx1G" to use maximum of 1GB of ram. You can change this.

There's probably others here who can offer better advice but that's the very basics.

Research it on YouTube or pay someone experienced on here to set it up for you. Dedicated servers can be expensive, I wouldn’t advise getting one unless you have a large marketing budget to push a large player-base to make it worth it.
I know that they are expensive, I'm talking about getting into sys administration and not buying one for a server sir[DOUBLEPOST=1601475374][/DOUBLEPOST]

Alright I will look into all of it, thanks!

I'm not very very good myself. But I have been learning lately, I could help you learn slightly if you'd like. Add me on discord, Inferno#8130
