I've kinda lost my passion for gaming for a few months now. Sometimes I just binge watch somethings on Netflix or even YouTube videos but I've lost interest in gaming myself. It was once a way to escape everything, but today after losing a friend to cancer it has hit too much that I've felt lost that I think I'm depressed by it. I don't think I have a passion to do anything anymore.

I want the passion back though. Can someone suggest anything to me so I can stop sulking in my self-pity?

So sorry about your loss <3
Emotions are a thing that is very hard to control and are a completely natural thing after the passing of a loved one. It can take days and even weeks to get back to your usual self. Take this as a time to perhaps take a break and reflect at where you are in life. I did the same after the passing away of my uncle and I came out of it knowing that you cannot take anything for granted because you're here one second and the next you're not. I promise you you'll come out stronger so don't be afraid to talk about what you're feeling to your friends and family. Yak I'm also here for you to talk to if you need me <3 <3

^ I agree with the above statement. I have put over 4k hours in 10 months. For the last 2 ive been bored with my game selection. So I changed up from what I am use to. I spent 100 (more than what you really should do) and bought Battlefield 3, 4, 1 & V aswell as Hell Let Loose, Insurgency & Im going to be buying scum next week. It has really pumped me up to be gaming again

I'm in a similar situation to you. Grandfather has been in and out of the hospital and I've lost a lot of interest for things.[DOUBLEPOST=1598320357][/DOUBLEPOST]let me know if you figure out a good game ;)

Thanks man. I've took a little bit of a break and then my friends were being dickheads so I no longer have friends that want to play now... So not going to be playing much now until I find the "right" group.
Find a new game to play with buddies, that’ll bring you in a good mood and hopefully light a fire in you.
^ Same answer, but I've gotten back into Pixelmon which is what got me into PC gaming in the first place. Sooo maybe. Thanks for the advice.

Hope you have fun.
I would recommend Among us, it’s not the average game of these days, it’s just really casual and you can just have a laugh with your friends. You kinda need 10 players for it to be the most fun, but they have a Discord server where you can play with others and have fun with them. You can also play without microphone and join random servers, which is less fun imo but still really fun. Costs $3 on Steam and is free on iOS/Android.

Honestly, it doesn’t really matter what game you play, as long as you don’t play it solo. I used to always play solo and lately I’ve been getting real bored even a little depressed from playing games alone and decided to play with friends, really showed me how much fun I was missing out on. Since then I only really play games when my friends are down to play aswell.

Also, I’m sorry for your loss man. I hope you will be able to get over it

hit me up if u wanna talk/need help or idk anything I guess :)
I already have the game but have no one to play with. So instead I've been watching streams of other's playing it (Grizzy, ElasticDroid, sr_kaif, etc) and they've helped lift the mood. Thanks for the suggestion.

I hope things work out for you bro. Giving you all the hugs rn.
First of all, very sorry for your loss, hope everything is well and hope you're feeling better/ok. I feel this one a lot. My friends & I used to play league daily during the lockdown (and before that we played a lot) and now until around 2 months or so ago where I quit. I quit because the game was just getting unfair and unfun, I was platinum 2 and constantly getting inters and trolls and I was the one being punished, not them. Anyway, a lot of people on this thread perceive it as a bad thing (which I see why and don't have anything against). But quitting league (and games mostly in general) was the best decision of my life pretty much. My friends and I always stayed playing till 5 AM, I got no quality time with my fam as I was waking up at like 5 PM, I actually started getting better at my job/studying (I work part time), I finally started getting a bit out of my comfort zone, slowly but surely. My sleep schedule is really good and I'm not gonna lie, I still play games with friends. But I do it maybe 2-3 hours a day max. Just wanted to get my side out, if you're interested in some games I enjoy at the moment, raft is really fun with a couple of friends, we usually just chill and catch up/chat while just building our raft and grinding. Albion online is the same thing. Lately I've been enjoying a round or two of valorant. Sorry for the incredibly long post :_: <3
Thanks for the advice dude. To be honest I don't have that many hobbies other than my computer. Pretty much of a no-lifer and was most likely going to get a job this week so I had something different to do. Found out they're doing changes and I'm not getting it... So that's great.
