Perhaps some kind of island auctioning system.

E.g someone wants to sell their island for $500 in game money, they'd do something like /island sell and then people can buy the island with /island buy

Envoy plugin Players love it, random chest drop from the sky that contains random loot, and you can put the chest in pvp area and players have to fight for it?

Island rating system

I have a decent idea. You could host Skyblock contests. Where people will create island within a certain time length. And the islands will be rated. And the top 3 islands + there owners will receive a server prize. Something like, 25$ server shop coupon. In order for them to enter they have to create a warp with there name. Or maybe do a application to apply on your forums.

A special skyblock gamemode type, where all islands are fairly close to each other. Overtime, bridges start to build, and the players have to take over the entire island, the winner gets some type of reward.

No? Save island as schematic, remove island off player, add the auction to an auction house GUI or something, if a player buys it, it removes money from their balance, resets their island and pastes the schematic.
