How to make essentials chat work.

Alright, So i'm using ploxhost as my hosting company. I have factions and for some reason i think that's the problem to why essentials chat is not working. Anyone know how to fix?

Make sure you have EssentialsCHAT and that it is enabled in the essentials config. Also make sure that you don't have any other plugin that would overpower the essentialschat priority.

If you added factions plugin the the factions chat takes over the chat over powering essentials configure chat in mstore

I wouldn't recommend using essentials. That Is why I just make custom chat plugins because It Is a lot nicer.

If you are using 1.8 w/ EssentialsChat from bukkit it won't work. Make sure you use the EssentialsChat fork on spigot if you're using 1.8.

It doesn't 'configure' properly because Factions takes priority over EssentialsChat. To edit the chat, go into the factions configuration and edit the chat to your liking from there.

Factions has a bunch of JSON files in a location called mstore, this includes advacned configuration for Factions itself. There is a specific file in there which has a chat format that overwrites Essentials chat format. If you still do not understand, pm me your skype! Also, be very careful editing your JSON files. One error and you've potentially broken the plugin
