Use replaymod (or a similar camera path mod) and shaders for ingame.

For the actual editing, I'd start with Sony Vegas if you've never done this type of thing before. If you have a bit of experience and know what things do, I'd start with After Effects; AE is much more professional and you'll get a much smoother outcome. Don't use a shit load of effects, start off trying to your own style and gradually build up to a point where you know how to create something as linked above.

good luck !
Do you know how they made the clips stop then move fast to the next clip

Download HD optifine and minecraft forge, get a heavy and beautiful shaders. then download replay mod together with ffmpeg, then make your cuts with the shaders (study online) and render. but it doesn't end there.... animate your text and pictures in hitfilm 4 express (can take up to 3 hours) and make the cuts and effects yourself(shakes, blur and etc) it takes more than 2 months to study those stuff (actually it's almost nothing) and it can take 2 weeks to make a trailer. requires a very good computer tho. 60fps 1080q[DOUBLEPOST=1523995194][/DOUBLEPOST]

Theres velocity sync in replay mod?
you can change the speed by mixing positions there, but most of the magic happens by changing the speed in the editing program[DOUBLEPOST=1523995423][/DOUBLEPOST]
Theres velocity sync in replay mod?
but trailer making is really hard and I wouldn't recommend starting from 0, gain info, inspiration, study programs and make this list :
1. Why am I doing that?
2. What am I doing?
and the most important is number 3.
3. How am I doing that?
if one of them isn't working then start all over again or study

half of it is making it look good (60+ fps, shaders, texture pack), other half is editing (Syncing, color correction, speed remapping, and extra effects you want)

Trailers are pretty easy to make and half of the people that do them can only use Replay mod because their talent less tools. Also half of them can only use 1.8

There are very few that can do real work.

Step 1. Shaders
Step 2. Replay mod
Step 3. Record with replay and mess around
Step 4. slap an ass load of effects right before a beat hits and switch the scene to practically the same scene but the beat hit so you cut it to black.
Step5. Color correction if needed
Step 6 put random text about the server
Step 7 you just made an easy buck

I'll also sell an intermediate course for the low fee of free.

In all seriousness if your trying to get into trailer making don't be like them it may seem cool and that was amazing but it really isn't hone the craft by using elements from the Trailer Makers that have animations inside their trailers couldn't find the person who does this (was looking for hours) , anyways finally don't just scrape by with simple and boring edits that are main stream and make something that lifts up and beyond the standard.
I'm pretty sure its far more complicated lol

naw mate, most of these trailers look good cause most of em took practice daily and did shit ton of trailers, you start making shitty trailers.

I half did shitty trailers when i started but improved in a month cause i actually have experience on editting cause of AMV Edits(it wasnt that hard to get on AE for me) and technically practiced 10 hours a day. like now i practice less than 4 hence why they get generic af. if u dont practice u start getting less creative.

imo is just basically starting making trailers and practice from there bit by bit. took me like 12 months to get where i am right now

if you wish to get at least a lil bit more used to editting I'd recommend you either trying to replicate trailers for educational purposes or try to attempt copying effects from ppl that way you play around with ae or sony vegas whatever u use in an attempt to learn(you wont know what they use, so you will have to figure it out alone). just dont try to make it an habit.

u dont need to learn how to use after effects in order to make trailers.
learning professionally only helps u 2 understand what certain shit does for example.
Camera Lens tecniques which prob not a lot of ppl know that on this market or
BCC Blur Zoom tecniques. its mostly just playing around and learning by yourself

also it's not as easy like u said  such an ignorant comment. if it was that easy there would be shit ton of trailer makers that are actually good on this market and not just randoms with 250p like videos

tbh my very first trailer looks decent, it took me like 7 hours

First: download forge
Second: install replaymod and optifine + shaders (as heavy as your pc can handle, otherwise it can result in lag in your final result)
Third: join the server/World
Fourth: click start recording
Fifth: leave server
Sixth: make camera path in main menu
Seventh: render camera path
Eight: download hitfilm express, its the best free editing software i know
Nine: make tranitions between the parts you like
Ten: add an effect if you want one and add text
Eleven: add music
Twelve: render
Done
