Hey guys,
I recently discovered how to use bitly with your own domain to shorten URLs.

Just follow the steps below to be able to do this:

  • Log into your account at http://bitly.com
  • In the top right, click the settings icon:
    fd97528377f6370bdd2936905f5b6087.png
  • Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings and under Domain Settings click "Add branded short domain for personal use"
  • Create the CNAME/A records from your domain control panel and then add the domain/subdomain into the text field (Records may take a few hours to update)
  • After the domain is validated you can select it to be the default domain for URL shortening, and it will work with that domain every time you create a bit-link.
Example of my bitly URL shortener: http://u.afterarts.xyz/2aczsph

Thanks for reading. :)

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.
