Many of you will already know everything in this guide, so feel free ignore this thread if you do.
If you've been on MCM for any duration of time, you are almost 100% sure to have encountered scamming in any shape of form, whether you are the scam victim, scammer, or just a bystander. Plenty of people here get scammed on a daily basis, despite it being exceptionally easy to identify scamming. This guide will teach you how to avoid scams, and how to identify scammers.
1. If you deal on discord, DO NOT DEAL WITH THOSE WITHOUT AN MCM ACCOUNT. Many people who are banned scroll on MCM, and contact on discord to try to pull off another scam. IF THE CUSTOMER/SELLER DOES NOT HAVE AN MCM ACCOUNT, THEY ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY SCAMMERS.
2. Ensure the person on discord tells you their MCM name, and posts on your MCM thread with their MCM account. This is simply to make sure that if you get scammed/attempted to get scammed, you can easily file a scam report.
3. If you are dealing with under $10 USD and the person on the other end is premium, you can freely go first as long as you follow step 1 and 2. If they scam you, they lose premium and have a loss. The same goes for $25 USD and supreme. If it's over that set amount of money, then you'd better be careful!
4. Use a well-known middleman. Almost all of the middlemen/women on the top page of the middlemen section are working cheap and efficient.
5. Don't deal with new accounts. You might just have a ban evader on your hands.
Everything else is common sense, (e.g. don't buy a a CS:GO skin that's worth $500 from a random guy offering it for $5).
