How to prevent lag while genning walls

I own a factions server and when people are creating walls using lava & water the server lags. Is there anyway to make it so the server wont lag and can withstand genning. Im using a 16gb dedi from mpg

I don't really play with stuff like that myself, I mean I own a factions server but I threw random plugins together and people liked it xf but I'd think if you made it faster it would help out, make sure it's on the same ratio of course. Floating lava/water makes lag.

I see lava speed but not water
