how to redirect domain to another domain

so i have a domain that is currently linked to a my own website. i wanna redirect it to another domain instead of my own website. Need help, im using namecheap

  1. Login to your domain list on Namecheap.
  2. Click on your domain. (Manage button)
  3. Nameservers: https://i.allym.me/u/1f08c6.png
  4. Advanced DNS: https://i.allym.me/u/fc1326.png
  5. Add new Record: https://i.allym.me/u/c5428c.pn - click URL redirect, enter your domain and voila!
  6. Make sure your host is either @, www, or whatever subdomain you want.

Would recommend you to use cloudflare and then you can configure and forward traffic much easier than on namecheap.

sign up, and then the instructions for forwarding a domain are on their site.
That's far too overcomplicated for something that doesn't even require hosting.

That's far too overcomplicated for something that doesn't even require hosting.

Just did this but when it redirects it says “Default backend - 404”

Are you going to use a reverse proxy like NGINX, or are you looking to do using DNS?
