Okay, so I'm going to help someone out and make this guide about different types of hacks & how to find them.
Types of hacks:
Now first off the definitions may be different from what you know so bear with me.
1) Blatent ass client
This is some skiddie client that they put in their versions folder
Difficulty to find: Easy
2) Injectible client
This is a client usually hidden in a mod .jar file, normally found in ToggleSneak mod.
Difficulty to find = Easyish
3) Indirect client
I just made up this name, but this client is usually hidden in the PC in a place not related to mknecrft, popular place being the Java folder & saved games folder.
Difficulty to find = Medium
Since this is a beginner guide, I'll not get on to screen sharing methods.
How to find hacks
Note; these may not work.
1) Tell user to hold on the Windows key and press R, this will then open a window, tell them to type "%appdata%", and hit okay. Next go to the folder called ".minecraft", then look for a folder called "ArmorStatusHUD", if this is in the main directory of .minecraft, it is a hack.
2) Stay in .minecraft, but go to versions folder, this should be obvious but look for hacked Client names such as "Huzini" or "Wulfram", these are hacks.
3) Check all folders anyways, some people hide hacks in the versions folder, lots of times in a version of forge.
4) Go to the mods folder, if they have a mod called "ToggleSneak", make sure the size isn't over 22 or 23 KB, if it's over that it is a hack.
5) Download "Java Decompiler", this will be easy and will pop up a Google search. Once that is open, tell the user to drag all of their mods on to the screen of the tool, then do CTRL + F. Make sure all of the boxes are ticked, then search for "bind" and "spook", these may pop up a client's code.
4) Check for a recently ejected USB, this will be displayed on an icon next on the toolbar (next to the Internet icon), they usually had hacks on the flash drive and removed it. I usually ban for this
5) Check for liteloader, just search their files for it. Liteloader is a mod loader, but so many people hack with it I would ban for it
6) Go to C:, easy to do, then look for a folder called "Direct", that is hacks
7) Go to the saved games folder, it's in C:/Users/(insert their username here), look for weird suff on there.
8) Look back in %appdata%, go to the Java folder and look for hacks in there, very easy.
9) Tell them to bind their attack key to RShift, then punch in the air, then try the Grave key, and any other key you want. This may pop up a GUI client.
