How to setup a storage server to upload/download from a site?

Basically, I want to host a website where people can go upload/download files from my website and not sure of any open sourced/available platforms where I can setup a server for those needs. I'd be using either Ubuntu, or CentOS as I am only aware of those 2 OSes.

I basically want to make my own "Google Drive", or "Dropbox".

Oh, I don't want to make a company out of it. I just want to host a personal server for myself and some friends who need to store shit temporarily.
