How to start a Minecraft hosting business?

Hello MC-Market I would love to know how to start a Minecraft hosting business but I am not sure where to start I am located in the United Kingdom. I however would love to start a Minecraft business! If you could put a lovely description in the comments that will be great so here is some information.

- How much do I need to put in to getting Dedicated servers?
- What dedicated servers should I get?
- How much do I need to put into the business?

The best advice I have for you is to not start a hosting company. I promise you that you won't make any profit for your first year.

You'll probably want to put $1000-$1500 into a single dedicated server to start out with. I would recommend looking at an E3 (32GB RAM recommended) or E5 Xeon (64GB RAM recommended) based server with.

You'll probably want to end up sending $1500-$2000 to get started and then a re-investment of $100-200 for at least your first couple months.

Not really as much as thinking "outside of the box" more of he doesn't know what he's doing to start with. What makes you think just because he "thinks outside of the box" will help in any way.. people want someone they can rely on. Not someone who's learning.

I completely agree. Like seriously, what is one thing new that someone can bring to the Minecraft server hosting industry that is different or "out of the box". If OP's going to just resell, he's no better than 4/5'ths of the hosts on here.

If you want to start a hosting company I suggest starting a dedicated host there isn't a huge amount of those compared to the Minecraft/Web Hosting business. Buy some actual dedicated boxes and let others rent them. Make sure you either let people pre-order to see if what location you should colo.
