No one seems to know much about domain squatting and how lucrative it can be... someone could easily buy the domain and sell it back to Hypixel Studios for a good profit.

If someone could easily buy the domain and easily resell it to Hypixel Studios, why not you do it?
- Hypixel Studios can take that name off you without paying you.
- Hypixel Studios didn't register .co for a reason.

Hypixel could easily take this off you, or any buyer, so it's effectively worthless.

It's a hell of a lot easier for them to buy the domain than it is for them to go to court over it. After legal costs, it's much cheaper for them to shell out a couple hundred bucks to a squatter.

You don't need to take them to court, you either contact legal department of domain provider, or send a note to the owner.

If they can afford a legal team I think they can afford to go to court.

What it comes down to is cost. Sure, they can afford to go to court, but it will be cheaper for them to shell out a relatively small amount of money for the domain and avoid the trouble altogether.
