Once again, we have to be more specific. Mineplex and Hypixel have way more bills then just buying for servers.
They have to pay
- Staff
- Artists
- Youtubers
- Developers (Most likely the most $$)
- System admins
- Other fees
That's why I assume that the end result is $100-200k profit. It depends on what we are referring to by profit. Do we mean Hypixel with just the server costs subtracted? Perhaps the money left over? It really depends.
Of course. They most likely have a large portion of a whole data center. They have a very dynamic network setup that allows servers to reset and move over to another gamemode if that gamemode is getting more players. It all adapts. That's why it's so expensive.
