I would agree some churches are cults, maybe even upwards of 50% of them or more. Any church that strays from Biblical teachings and trys to insert their own doctrine or twist the Bible's words for themselves. Example mega churches who preach prosperity if you give them money, or weird churches who shout and bark, or cause people to throw up. Thats demonic/personal touchy feeling emotions. None of that is Biblical.

But to your point, no you should not steal from a Church. Regardless people freely chose to give up their money, its not even a forced fund like taxation.
