I was thinking about this situation for a while now, wanted to know some peoples opinion on it.

Let's imagine there are two siblings on MCM (or any forum) , who are completely different people. They are not confused with eachother. People may know they are siblings.

How would MCM deal with the system detecting them as impersonators?

If one sibling scams, what will happen to the other.. they live close to eachother, techinically the scammer sibling could potentially sell accounts on the nice siblings account..

I dont think this situation isnt too rare. Lmk what you think :)

They would have to ban bought I think. Since Brother A that has been banned so Brother B could not be a scammer and Brother A could use Brother B account.[DOUBLEPOST=1562784012][/DOUBLEPOST]

but in your example, brother b is the innocent victim? he has done nothing wrong and its entirely his brothers fault, why should he take the punishment?

Since they are in the same household so Brother A can hop on Brother B Account and keep going with his crime. So to protect everyone they have to ban both.

what if the innocent brother was a high rep person who spends his life and money on the forum? it wouldnt be fair tbh

I know but still MC Market has to protect everyone on this forum. Just take it like this you run a business like MC Market. You ban Brother A. Then Brother B could just ban evade and use Brother A account. So since they are on the same IP address they have to ban both of them.

If both siblings live in the same residence, we would ban both of them. We can’t risk letting them return as the sibling who scammed may still access the other account, nor do we wish to let ourselves as staff members get social engineered into allowing a scammer to continue browsing the site.

I think I'm safe because I don't have a sibling.
