They could, but it would cost them near $1,500 just in fees and legal work. If you had it, they probably wouldn't care since their .com is all they need... you might get lucky and they'd offer you what you paid for it or a bit more.

They're wanting to create a community-sense game, I doubt they would go ahead and start pulling domains from people because it says hytale in it, as tons of their community servers will pop up in the future with hytale in it
