I am making Mc-Market Mobile

Hello! My name is Gabriel, I would like to make a mc-market app (for android first time and if that project succeeds an ios app)
Would I need any kind of permission from Mick to make that app or could I start working on it now?
What do you guys think of this idea. This is going to take me a lot of time. This is just some thoughts.

Tbh I don’t think it’s that needed, I’m using mobile right now and it works perfectly fine on the website. Anyways doubt mick would give you permission.

But do I need permission though? It is a hell for me to log on the web every time I am going on mcm.

Ehh not really but I am going to do it for free and it would help people be on the site more often from mobile so I don't see a reason to not try.

I think you should read the suggestions forum first before asking in general discussion what is generally another suggestion thread.

I've thought that MC-Market has needed better inter-platform compatibility for a long time.
A telegram/iMessage/Discord like chat experience for MC-Market's integrated messaging service could certainly do some good for the platform. I would like iOS compatibility but this is a step in the right direction.

Unfortunately, this is not allowed, and I suspect you'll have a very hard time coming across permission any time soon. (see https://calv.vin/mcmapp) The idea of building a good app is an expensive and time consuming one. From my understanding, this situation has not improved.

Okay, I agree with you. But an android app will be the first move I will make (easier for me to make an android app and less time-consuming for me) I know some ios devs that could make a ios app if this succeeds.

As I’ve said, this is a suggestion thread. Any thread about implementing something new to MCM is usually a suggestion thread. If you want to change the rules, I’d suggest to move this to the Suggestions forum.

However, read why the previous suggestion thread for this exact same thing got denied in the first place. Being blissfully ignorant on MCM will only result in you wasting your own time (from personal experience).
