I am thinking of making a PayPal. What is your advice, your tips for starting out?

I am mainly wondering about invoices are and how to receive/send payments without showing my address, if at all possible.

I'd also like to receive tips and other advice for starting out with PayPal. I am thinking of starting to make a shop for Banners / Thread Designs and would like to know how everyone else uses PayPal and such!

PayPal isn't all that complicated to setup. You just signup like with any other payment gateway.

Before starting, you should familiarize yourself with the fees. Especially the sellers fee when selling goods through Goods & Services. Currently, for regular accounts, the PayPal fee is 2.9% + 30¢ USD of the purchase, so be aware how you price your items because you'll be getting less than you sold it for (usually no fees fro Friends & Services). Of course, there's all fees you should look into.

If you are sending money via Goods & Services, PayPal will ask which address you would like to send the payee (the seller). This is meant for the payee ship you a physical good, however, if it's a digital good, select the option that says something along the lines of, "Address not necessary." Otherwise, your address will be sent to the payee. Friends & Services don't have this address option.

PayPal has an invoice system which you can setup premade products, and invoice them professionally (can add your name, address, logo, etc.). It can also handle subscriptions, so payment can be automatically charged from the payer's PayPal. However, this IS NOT a replacement for a storefront. If you need something where people can order stuff online, I recommend you use something like Shopify or eBay.
