Hey guys! Writing this thread to explain a huge scam I just fell into.

Basically, there was this guy named Ruttiaa running around forums just like MCM (never came here though) posting that he needs to hire a online assistant, that pays anywhere from 75-150$ a day, depending on how much you work. I was VERY skeptical, and decided to add him regardless. 2 days later, he tells me hes got some customers that need to send money.
I get sent $450 on the first day. (In payments of 150, 60, and 240) Then ruttiaa keeps constantly bugging me, asking me to buy him BTC.
At this point I'm aware of the scam, once I buy the BTC he's going to chargeback. He's the one who sent the money.

But, no. I was wrong.
Eventually I started getting emails from random individuals. Asking if their Iphones have been shipped.

I started responding to the emails explaining the situation, but noone gave a damn
Chargebacks flew in overnight and in the morning. I was freaking the hell out, stressed, and negative $151.42

There was one person (who sent money) that listened to what I said and decided to not charge back. The individual canceled the item not delivered claim, and now I'm negative $1.42
But. What just occurred?
Turns out, Ruttiaa makes ebay listings for popular electronics. Iphones, TVS, tablets, anything that is in high demand.
Then, he goes on forums just like this one, posts about how he needs an online assistant
He then precedes to get all the funds sent to these individuals paypal. Resulting in the people who got sent the money buying him BTC, which he then turns back into paypal money, except he cant get chargedback.
It's a really simple scam and I cant believe I fell victim to it.
Now I have to deal with -1.42 in my paypal lol
tldr look out for anyone hiring a "virtual assistant" saying you'll earn anywhere inbetween 75-150 a day. It's going to be a scam.

Didnt mention in thread but he told me he had a "bitcoin exchanger" that I could send the money to and be done with it. Was actually just his personal paypal.

Have you tried to refund the people? Then I dont think you get a fee and your balance will return to its old state.

Ahhhh I remember when something like this happened to me back in 2016. Real fun times.
Same principle, but instead of electronics it was supreme items, and instead of BTC, it was CSGO keys. Good times.
Except for I called PayPal at 16 years old and got to keep all of the money! and i oop

we live and learn. don't let it happen again.

I shouldn't have accepted the payments to begin with. The guy just made everything so believeable, really looked like a legitimate "job". *Until he started asking me to buy him BTC.* He set up tons of lies for this to work, smart individual. But at the same time a scumbag.

Forgot to mention in thread, but I contacted him afterwards and he just told me it's what I get from not sending him BTC, then he told me to do dirty things to him. Guy was really mad he didn't get his BTC payout
