God this device is amazing. I couldn't even draw like that with my wacom drawing pad. It's so much easier.

Compare that to my previous iPad 3

Dang, what I find a bit funny is that a 1.9 inch bigger screen is 2 hundred dollars more lol. This is what it costs for WiFi + cellular, 1TB storage, and 11 inch screen... on my phone so you need to click the attached file
I got a computer with a 1050i and an i7 for that price... LMAO.

See I'm on a debate for that right now. It's either the be iPad Air that just came out or that... Not trying to spend $800 on something to take notes with (still gotta buy the pen too) but the fact that the pen is much smaller, nicer way of charging, and sticks to the tablet has me in a debate.

Yeah I honestly bought it because it's really cool and I like how smooth (120Hz) and high quality the screen is, and that it's all full display.
I also bring it to school to use it as a notebook, it's kinda cool, but not as easy as writing on a paper. (though you can place your hand on the screen and write, it's fine). Drawing feels natural, it's really fast, animations are great, and finally no home button.

If you don't wanna waste your money and the only thing you're gonna do with it is taking notes, consider buying the 2017 ipad pro and not the 2019 air. It supports the smooth display (120Hz) and feels more natural when writing with it, has better speakers, better camera and more memory options. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't have the new apple chip, though I believe you won't be able to tell the difference if you only take notes and do some basic stuff.
You can find one of these for around $550 I think compared to the $450 iPad Air. Once you try the 120Hz display you can't go back, I am disgusted when I'm using my phone after I mess around with my iPad, It's really something you don't wanna miss out.

12.9 inches of glorious 120 Hz iPad is quite possibly the best thing I've ever experienced.
Pencil and smart keyboard are absolute necessities though. I wish it had a track pad like on the Surface Pro though (pls Apple).

I suggest getting OneNote for note taking and avoid putting games & unnecessary apps on it. Keep it lean, Use your new iPad Pro strictly for getting work done, and your old iPad for things other than work. The refresh rate difference always reminds me which one is for what.

@Kunchy:
If you already have an iPad, and plan on doing anything other than notes, I strongly suggest the iPad Pro. If you don't have an iPad yet, the Surface Pro is great, and it runs full Windows so it can be used in a much more versatile way. If you need an iPad Pro, you'll know you need an iPad Pro.

My old iPad is unusable with how slow it is and it can't support new apps at all. I tried installing Facebook, Chrome, Youtube and it told me that the device was not compatible with the apps. It's the iPad 3rd generation, really old.

It looks nice but in reality it breaks very easily.[DOUBLEPOST=1553138120][/DOUBLEPOST]Cal

Who would of possibly guessed putting all the force of your hands on a half a centimeter thick, foot long board, the board would bend?

I've had the 12.9 inch in and out of my bag nearly every day for about 3 or 4 months now, I've had no trouble of the sort. Only some light scratches on the and the back of the device from my paper notebooks.

Moral of the story: Don't try to break to bend your iPad in half with both hands and it won't bend in half. r/QuitYourBullshit

My sister kicked it and it fell so hard on the floor, but the screen didn't shutter (without a case) Only a little mark on the back edge. I put it in my bag many times and nothing happened. Guess you should just buy a case and everything's gonna be fine.
