What do you think? Is work like this worth anything? Would anyone purchase from me if I opened a shop?
Also I have learned from this trailer and will be making changes with the next ones I make.
Ok, here we go:
Black bars far too wide. I saw the chat in the video which suggests why you did them like that; just do F1 next time. Try adding in shaders to make the cinematics look and feel better and more professional. The cinematics themselves had not enough movement in them. Attempt to use velocity in them with a song like you used (with clear, strong beats). FOV in the cinematics was pretty bad, try turning it down. Try turning down the amplitude on the wave effect also, and reduce the scale on the screen pumps. Also, with the screen pumps, improve the keyframing so they are more smooth. Try to incorporate some sort of transitions in there. Lastly, improve your colour correction - it was very bland and didn't really reflect the style of song that you used.
If you need any help just email me and we can talk.
Having a bad PC doesn't subtract from your ability to edit, it just increases the editing time significantly. If you want to use shaders, just make the camera movement really long and then use velocity to speed it up when editing. Thanks for the suggestions. The black bars were wide b/c I tried to cover up the chat and then after 3 hours of rendering I noticed that the chat was still there and it was only a free trailer and I felt it didn't subtract too much from the trailer so I didnt re render. I can't really use shaders because of my computer so I tried to add color correcting and stuff like that to add more of a shaders look. Also I know the CC isnt really that good but it was the first one I had tried and I had never used CC on a minecraft vid before. The pumps werent amazing and they were a little off in terms of smoothness and all that, but I'm always trying new effects/transitions so I'm working to improve them n stuff
