So I just had my first deal, this person gave me a deal and said that if I make him a KitMap KitSigns plugin, he'll pay me 15$. I make the plugin perfectly, he says it's perfect, and he says he sent the money to my PayPal. Two days later, still haven't got the money, he spams me telling me to come in TeamSpeak, and if I don't he is charging back.
So, I'm in TS, I get moved and there's this kid called GodArcher and he asks Why are you scamming this person? I ask what, I coded the plugin he said It was good, and he paid me. How did I scam him? He says you coded the plugin? You sure you didn't get it from a leaked kitmap plugin on [Censored]? I say that I don't know what he's talking about, and if he has proof. He said that he decompiled both plugins and they were the same code. I said send me proof. He says he doesn't have the plugins on his computer anymore because they could be rats. He says there is no point to keep them, and he already sent the proof to his lawyer. I told him to send me the email he sent to his lawyer and the proof, he again says he deleted it etc... He threatens to take me to court and sue me 1.5k+ Then I just say take the plugin, I'll just leave chargeback whatever. So later after they kick/ban me, I go on discord and tell the dude who was supposed to pay mlet'sts just call him socialists now.) to have his little friend send me the proof. I go on and say, you know if you use the plugin, it's stealing too because it was my code and you don't have my permission to use it anymore. He says, no it's not because you gave me the download link and it wasn't your code. I said that it was still stealing because in your point of view it wasn't my code so then it'd be stealing. He then says that he could've easily downloaded a leaked plugin.
At that point I just stop, I just give up. I got scammed. End of Story.
So that is why I might not freelance on MCM anymore.
