I might start a server again. Since i have been on mc market i have realised. I didnt know so much about youtubers. They act so willingly to play servers like they found them. Actually getting paid. Same with the general costs. I used to own a server and apparently i dont know the half.... I this forum. Since i joined i learnt more and made some money for a new server! If i start a server most likely i wont be involved ingame too much and will have a co-owner to help and a manager.

One thing i always found tricky, was getting players and decent staff.... Please leave suggestions for cheapest methods and even free . Anyway yeh if u have extremely decent experience in any of theese post here and if i do make a sever will keep you in mind

Also, what gamemodes you guys think popular? i always did prison. I got like 5 players and they thought too generic.

Try to get a decent playerbase with 5-10 players before you actually start to invest in youtubers (Nobody likes to play with 0 players) so start off by putting your server up on minecraftservers.org or PMC. I found those worked the best for me. Depending on your budget you can really do any server.

I can bot you players to make your server look like it has more players, then real players will join because they see there's already a bunch of players .

Works like a charm though
When people see '0/50' they think "Oh I don't want to play a server alone I might as well be playing single player then"
But when they see '20/50' they think "Oh 20 people to play with that's cool at least it's not 200 people that will slaughter me 24/7"

I wondered the same. PMC only gets you like 20-30 people on at first who will simply ask for staff or something stupid usually.

Oh yeah another good way is to say you're a new server, say that you need mods/admins, then when people inquire about it you say you would like them to be active/participate for a week or two.
They stick around, be active and helpful for 2 weeks, and by then you have other legit players

My server is about 3 weeks old, and we really haven't done much. I've PMC bumped a lot, and thats about it. Weekends we usually peak 12+ and weekdays after school we usually get around 7+ At peak. If you have a good server people will join it and play it, just have to have patience and dont have a bland server(which I'm doing a complete reset in 2ish months, people are hyped about it already :3)
