Any suggestions? Here are my requirements, it has to have a SSD drive, have at least have 8GB of ram, and be in the price range of $1 - $500 USD. I am planning to have windows on it, and use a USB to dual boot my Linux for system work.

I can do that with a desktop, but certainly not with a laptop. Haven't learned how to do that.
It is basically the same, you screw open the bottom of the laptop and look for the hdd and ram sticks. Just give it a google, thats what it is for, after all
